We design a suitable smile for you by applying the necessary dental interventions to the teeth.
The first thing that comes to mind when mentioning aesthetic dentistry should be a correct smile design. The secret to smile design is to build a smile especially for your “face” and “you” by using the combination of dentistry and art. Based on the special requests of our patient, it is possible to provide the healthiest and most natural smile that is appropriate for the face shape, skin color, gender. Good anatomy knowledge is essential for a good smile design. In smile design, we can make use of many applications such as whitening, porcelain laminates, zirconium coatings, lip shaping, implants, gum shaping and orthodonty.
By evaluating criteria such as the color structure, form, surface structure of the teeth, teeth axis, lower lip line, face shape and smile symmetry, we design the smile that allows acceptable aesthetic and function.
We pay attention to all technical criteria that we will list under the Gingival health, Interdental closure, Zenith points, Equilibrium at gingival levels, Level of interdental contact, Relative tooth sizes, Surface structure, Incisal edge configuration titles.
Before starting the smile design, we determine which anatomical structure your face is suitable for and we choose the teeth shape that will suit you the best together. For example, men have sharper and more pronounced lines, whereas women have more transitions that are more rounded and softer.
Horizontal aligning: For the ideal smile, the line passing through the middle of the pupils and the line passing through the middle of the teeth must be parallel to each other.
Symmetry: In order for the shape and size differences of the front teeth to not stand out, symmetry should be paid attention to as much as the facial lines allow.
Gum line: The gum line which is the line that draws the attention when you smile, should be parallel to the upper lip line.
Smile line: The slope of the line that connects the tips of the front teeth that are visible when we smile, should be the same with the slope of the lower lip.
Smile width: To have an aesthetic and beautiful smile, the teeth in the back should be visible to a certain extent. If this is not achieved, dark areas in the corners of the mouth will prevent the formation of a beautiful image.
Golden ratio: The golden ratio that is is encountered in many details of the universe is accepted to be one of the most important criteria for beauty perception. The golden ratio which corresponds to the value 1,618, can be found in Picasso’s many works, the Mona Lisa, the curves of sea shells, the mysterious pyramids of Egypt and in many parts of our life. According to the golden ratio, if every front teeth have a width that is 60% of its neighbor’s width, then an aesthetically pleasing result is achieved. According to this, if the width of the second incisor is 1, then the middle incisor should be 1,618 times wider and the dog tooth should be 0,618 times narrower.
In smile design, the harmony of the teeth with the anatomical structure of the face is also important.
By making the right aesthetic and anatomical planning, we give life to successful smile designs. We are happy to see the difference reflected in the smiles of the applicants after the procedures among the people who applied to our clinic for smile design.
1) Dynamic Smile: In this category, the front incisors are a little bit longer than the side incisors. This appearance provides a more youthful dynamic smile and an attractive look.
2) Intellectual Smile: In this design, the teeth are aligned on a horizontal line. With this smile, it is aimed to give the face a knowledgeable, sophisticated, intellectual expression.
3) Sportive Smile: We can describe it as the smile in between the attractive smile and the intellectual smile. It can give your face an unusual, intimate and warm expression.
